TAMARIKI EVENT: Start time is at 6.00pm on March 8th 2019 in Hawera Taranaki
ADULTS EVENT: Start time is at 9am on Saturday March 9th 2019 in Hawera Taranaki
Distances and Pricing
- Individual Short Course – $65.00 (300m Swim, 10km Cycle and 2.5km Run/Walk)
- Short Course Team – $120.00 per team (300m Swim, 10km Cycle and 2.5km Run/Walk)
- Individual Long Course – $75.00 (600m Swim, 20km Cycle and 5km Run/Walk)
- Long Course Team – $150.00 (600m Swim, 20km Cycle and 5km Run/Walk)
- Tamariki Individual 7-12 Years – $25.00 (100m swim, 1km run)
- Tamariki Team 7-12 Years – $50.00 (100m swim, 1km run)
Registration
Late registrations and race pack pick up will be held at the TSB Hub, 61 Waihi Road, Hawera on the King Edward Park which is behind the Power Co aquatic centre pools on Friday 9th March from 4pm to 5.30pm. If you are unable to come at this time then you can pick it up on race morning from 7.30am- 8.30am. Your race pack will include your timing chip, race numbers, and t-shirt (please note that t shirt sizes will be as per your registration details and cannot be exchanged).
Any changes will need to be made at registrations but in the event of there being any serious issues regarding your registration then you must see the Race Director (Heather Skipworth) to have this approved. Please note that if a team member has to be replaced they will need to come and sign the waiver in order to participate.
Transition will be set up on Friday so if you want to come over to the Park and see how this works feel free to do so. Please note that it is your responsibility to understand the transition flow on race day, so it would pay to check it out on the Friday. Racking of Bikes will be done on Saturday Morning.

Age Categories
The event runs 10 year age groups with your age calculated as at the date of the event.
The official Age Categories for both Tane and Wahine are as follows:
- 18–29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60-69
- 70+
Event trophies are awarded to the top competitor in each age group.
Teams Categories:
Male, Female, Mixed
Changes
Changes will be made until Saturday 19th January 2019 no online changes made after this date. Individuals can be changed for this event, teams can also make changes. Any changes will incur a $20.00 fee. All changes after this date will be a physical change only, no t shirt sizes or names are changed, but the new person will need to sign the waiver at registrations.
